They are the reason to trust a figure you find here, and they are enforced in the build rather than promised in a paragraph.
Every story carries the publication it came from, its licence where one is given, and what was changed to show it here. A machine translation says which language it came from and by what method, and keeps the publisher’s own words beside it.
Financing, permits, customer demand, construction and operation stay separate facts, each with the evidence and the date it was recorded. A project recorded last year is not redescribed as today’s status.
The sources view names the routes that are collected, the ones that are switched off and why, and where coverage is thin. Nothing is filled in to make a page look complete.
Where the wire does not know something, it says so, and leaves the space empty rather than guessing.

One card per organization: what it does and where, the facts the wire holds about it with the source and the date each was checked, and every story the wire has carried about it.
Open a card and every fact stands on its own footing: the statement, the source it was read from, and the date it was recorded. Where an identity is unresolved or a figure is disputed, the card says that instead of choosing one for you.
A project is not one status line. Financing, permits, customer demand, construction and operation are recorded separately, each pointing at the document that established it.
Every recorded state shows the evidence it rests on and the date that evidence carries, so you can see for yourself whether a project has actually moved or has only been written about again.
Auctions, tenders, results, policy deadlines and the industry’s own diary, each carrying the source the date was taken from.
Monitored routes, cited references and candidates are listed separately. A route that is switched off says so, and says what would have to be reviewed before it is turned on.
The same list the reader’s own sources view carries, in the same words. It will get shorter; it will not quietly disappear.
Automated collection runs on permitted routes and is concentrated in the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union. The organization and project register is broader than the news is.
Relevance weights are an editorial pilot. They are uncalibrated: not investment advice, not a measured precision or recall, and not a probability that anything described will happen.
The wire ranks the day’s ten. The desk’s written analysis of them is not published while its sourcing is under review, and the space stays empty rather than being filled with something weaker.
There is no market index, no price feed and no return. There are no watchlists, no email alerts and no sign-in; saved coverage is kept by your browser and goes when it does.
Nothing is held back from anyone, because there is nothing to hold back behind.
