The whole desk, on one key

Not a feed of headlines. Six surfaces built on the same sourced record: the terminal, the ledger, the universe, the project records, the calendar and the desk memo.

01 index.html · the terminal
The terminal: the desk’s memo on the day’s energy stories, with the storylines beside it
The terminal. Every story the energy trade press, agencies and companies published, clustered, sourced and ranked, with the desk memo, the storylines, the filings and the day's calendar beside it.
02 deals.html · the ledger
The deal ledger: financings, acquisitions and investments with their parties, the reported amount, the evidence grade and the status
The ledger. The PPAs, offtakes, orders, financings and acquisitions as they move, with both sides resolved to a company, the price and what the price means — a price per MWh is not a contract value — and the state each deal is in, by kind.
03 organizations.html · the universe
An organisation’s card in the universe, opened from its row: what it does, its money, backers, filed accounts and ledger row, the wire’s reporting on it, its people and its register entry
The universe. The register behind the wire: 125 organisations, searchable by what they do and the technologies they work in, each fact with its source and the day it was checked.
04 calendar.html · the calendar
The calendar: the industry’s diary by month, with the verified mark, the vertical and the type on every row
The calendar. Trade fairs, summits, symposia and policy assemblies by the day, filtered by region and kind, with unconfirmed dates rechecked at the source.
05 index.html · the desk memo
The desk memo
The desk memo. One paragraph on what the day's stories mean together, the throughline across a PPA, a financing and an auction result, rewritten through the day.

Every claim, checkable

The ledger is not a status word we chose. Open a row and the price, the unit and the clause each claim came from are there to be read.

06 deals.html · one deal, opened
A deal opened in the ledger: both parties, how the claim was read and who asserted it, the quoted line, the outlets that carried it and its reports in order
One deal, opened. The price and what the price means, how many outlets it was read from, where it stands, and a register entry for every party to it.
07 deals.html · from the dealmakers themselves
From the dealmakers themselves: companies’ own releases about their transactions, with the company, the release and its date
From the dealmakers themselves. The companies’ own releases about their transactions, read beside the press: the company, the release and its date.

How to read a power purchase agreement

In February 2025, Iberdrola said Amazon had contracted 219 MW at its Tâmega wind project in Portugal. The wind project’s total capacity was 274 MW. The first figure tells you the size of Amazon’s purchase agreement. The second tells you the planned capacity of the whole project.

Iberdrola also put its project investment at around €350 million. That figure describes spending on the project. The announcement gives no price per megawatt-hour for Amazon’s power, so it cannot tell you the value of the contract. Read Iberdrola’s February 2025 announcement (PDF).

Read the guide to Amazon and Iberdrola’s Tâmega wind agreement.

Compare the plans

The wire is the news. The ledger is the transaction behind it — who contracted, bought or financed what, from whom, for how much, on what terms, and whether it has closed.

Talk to us

Tell us how many people need access and what your team covers.

hello@axiom.vc

Sent to AXIOM through Formspree. We use these details to answer your enquiry.

Have an invitation code?

Your invitation page says what the code includes — the plan, how long it is free and what happens afterwards — before you go any further.

Questions

If the answer you need is not here, email hello@axiom.vc and a person will reply.

What happens when the 14 days are up?

The subscription starts and the first payment is taken, at whichever price you picked. We will email you at least 3 days before that happens. If you cancel during the trial you are not charged at all, and your access runs to the end of the fourteenth day.

How do I cancel?

One click in your account, or one email to hello@axiom.vc. There is no retention call and nothing to negotiate. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

What happens to my access if I stop paying?

Subscription access ends at the end of your billing period. You can still sign in to your account.

Which currency will I pay?

Choose GBP, EUR or USD above. If we can identify your region, we initially show GBP in the UK and EUR elsewhere in Europe. Otherwise we show USD. Checkout shows the price in your selected currency and any applicable tax.

Is VAT included?

Prices exclude VAT. Stripe Managed Payments calculates and applies tax based on your billing details. Enter your business tax number at checkout if applicable; Stripe determines the treatment. Link provides your invoice and transaction support.

Where does the data come from?

Energy trade press, company newsrooms and investor pages, government and regulator announcements, research publications and SEC filings. Every claim on a row carries the report and the sentence it was taken from, so you can check it rather than trust it.

What if a row is wrong?

Tell us at hello@axiom.vc. We aim to correct a clear factual error within one working day and to reply to every report within five working days. A correction is marked as one — the original claim is not silently overwritten.

Can I share my key with the team?

Monthly and Annual are one seat and one key. Please do not share it — not because we are policing it, but because a shared key cannot be withdrawn from one person without resetting everybody.

How is Team priced?

Team costs US$520 per seat per year for 5–20 readers. Request a separate Team agreement. For 21+ readers or custom requirements, enquire about Enterprise.

What is the difference between Enterprise and Enterprise Plus?

Enterprise is this product at your scale — the same wire, the same ledger, the same universe, with as many seats as you need across departments and offices.

Enterprise Plus is a different product: the wire filtered to the technologies, markets and companies you cover, a deal view built to your definition of a relevant deal, and reports written to your questions. It is scoped with you before it is quoted, so the conversation starts with what you need rather than with a number.

Do you offer refunds?

The trial exists so you can decide before you pay. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the period you have paid for. If a charge looks wrong, email hello@axiom.vc.
